Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has announced his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The celebrity businessman made his ambition public in a video shared online following a visit to the APC secretariat in Imo State. During the visit, he informed party officials of his plan to represent the Orsu, Orlu and Oru East Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.

In an accompanying message, Okechukwu said he had formally communicated his aspirations to party leaders, who, according to him, expressed support for his bid.

“I came to congratulate and encourage our party leaders and also to share my humble desire to represent my people at the House of Representatives,” he said, adding, “God is in control; let His will be done.”

A party official present at the meeting commended Okechukwu, describing him as a versatile individual with a track record of positive impact, and indicated that the party would back his ambition.

In recent months, Cubana Chief Priest has been vocal in his support for the ruling party and the current administration. He was also appointed Imo State Director of the City Boy Movement, a youth group advocating for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.
