The All Progressives Congress (All Progressives Congress) has announced an extension of timelines for the sale and submission of expression of interest and nomination forms for aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Monday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said the revised schedule affects key pre-primary activities, including form sales, submission deadlines, and screening of aspirants.
According to the updated timetable, the sale of nomination forms has been extended to midnight on Wednesday, May 6, while the deadline for submission of completed forms is now midnight on Thursday, May 7.
The party further disclosed that the screening of aspirants will hold from Friday, May 8, to Tuesday, May 12, after which the list of successful candidates will be published on Wednesday, May 13.
The adjustment comes weeks after the party released its initial timetable on April 20, outlining its schedule for the 2027 general election primaries. Under that schedule, the presidential primary is fixed for May 15 and 16, while the House of Representatives primary is slated for May 18, the Senate primary for May 20, state Houses of Assembly primaries for May 21, and governorship primaries for May 23.
