Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team, the Nigeria Falconets, have arrived in Lilongwe, Malawi, ahead of the second leg of their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture against the Young Scorchers.

The Falconets carry a 2–0 advantage into the return leg, following their convincing victory in the first leg played last weekend at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

The decisive second-leg encounter will take place on Saturday at the Bingu National Stadium.

Moses Aduku’s side have maintained an impressive away record in the qualifying campaign, winning both of their previous matches on the road. They secured a 1–0 victory over Rwanda in the first round before edging Senegal 2–1 in the second round.

The aggregate winner of the tie between Nigeria and Malawi will book a place at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup scheduled to hold in Poland in September.
