President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has expressed confidence that Akwa Ibom State will deliver the highest number of votes in the South-South region for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
Akpabio made the declaration on Tuesday during a political gathering in Akwa Ibom attended by stakeholders and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of the next election cycle.
According to the Senate President, residents of the state are already benefiting from the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration, which he said would translate into overwhelming electoral support for the president in 2027.
“We will deliver the highest votes for President Bola Tinubu in the entire South-South come 2027,” Akpabio stated.
He also called on APC members to remain united and committed to strengthening the party’s structure in Akwa Ibom and across the South-South region.
The remarks have generated reactions on social media amid growing political discussions surrounding the 2027 presidential election.
Reacting to the statement, a social media user identified as @EketVoice wrote, “Nigerians will decide with their votes when the time comes.”
