UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced his resignation as both Prime Minister and leader of the Labour Party.
Starmer made the announcement on Monday in a statement delivered outside 10 Downing Street, bringing an end to his tenure at the helm of the United Kingdom's government. Reflecting on his time in office, he said every decision he took was driven by a commitment to serve the nation's best interests.
“Every decision I have made has been about putting the country I love first,” Starmer stated.
