Nigerian content creator Peller has shaved his head in solidarity with his wife, Jarvis, after her new low-cut hairstyle attracted criticism and mockery on social media.
The popular TikTok couple, who recently celebrated their marriage with a series of elaborate wedding ceremonies, once again found themselves in the spotlight after Jarvis debuted her shaved hairstyle.
Instead of ignoring the backlash, Peller decided to replicate his wife’s look.
In a video circulating online, Peller was seen at a barbershop explaining his decision to his barber and revealing that he wanted to surprise Jarvis.
“I want to barb skolo to surprise my wife. Because she barb skolo, everybody is abusing her and talking a lot about her,” he said.
He subsequently picked up the clipper and shaved his hair.
Peller later unveiled his new look to Jarvis, who appeared delighted by the gesture as the couple showed off their matching hairstyles.
The move has sparked mixed reactions online, with many fans praising Peller for standing firmly by his wife amid the criticism.
Some described the gesture as a demonstration of love and loyalty, saying Peller had gone beyond words to support Jarvis against online trolls.
Others, however, questioned whether the couple was turning the controversy into another viral social media moment.
Jarvis’ decision to shave her hair had already generated debate, particularly because it came shortly before her traditional and white wedding ceremonies with Peller. While some fans applauded her confidence and willingness to experiment with her appearance, others questioned the timing of the drastic hairstyle.
Peller’s decision to adopt the same look has now added a new dimension to the controversy, shifting attention from the criticism to the couple’s public show of solidarity.
The couple, whose relationship, engagement and wedding preparations have repeatedly generated viral conversations, have continued to attract significant attention for their unconventional approach to documenting their lives online.
With Peller now proudly sporting the hairstyle that drew criticism when Jarvis first unveiled it, the content creator appears determined to turn the backlash into a celebration of his wife and their relationship.
