The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers dating from 2021 to 2026 to accept or reject the offers.

The new deadline, according to the Board, is Wednesday, September 30, 2026, replacing the earlier deadline of Monday, August 31, 2026.

The extension provides affected candidates additional time to decide on their outstanding admission offers and update their admission status accordingly.

JAMB stated that candidates who accept their offers will be able to print their admission letters, while those who reject them will have their dashboards reverted to “Not Admitted.”

The Board also clarified that candidates who have already secured admission during the 2026 admission exercise, but still have an earlier admission offer pending, can reject the previous offer without jeopardising their new admission.

Similarly, candidates who are currently studying at another institution or enrolled in a different programme from the one attached to their outstanding admission offer may accept the earlier offer and subsequently apply for the appropriate correction or deletion, where applicable.

JAMB, however, warned that the September 30, 2026 deadline is final. Any outstanding admission offer that remains neither accepted nor rejected by the deadline will automatically be reverted to “Not Admitted.”

“There will be no further opportunity after the expiration of the extended deadline on Wednesday, 30 September 2026,” the Board stated.

The Board therefore urged all affected candidates to take advantage of the extension and complete the necessary action before the deadline, stressing that failure to accept an admission offer within the stipulated period will render the offer invalid.
