Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has announced plans to host a free concert in Osogbo, the state capital, as part of efforts to engage residents ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
The event, scheduled for Friday, April 24, will take place at the Technical Field and is open to the public at no cost. It is expected to feature a lineup of prominent and emerging music acts from within and outside the state, including the governor’s son, Adebayo Adeleke, popularly known as B-Red.
The announcement comes shortly after the governor appointed his nephew, David Adeleke, also known as Davido, as Head of Youth Mobilisation for his re-election campaign.
In a post shared on Wednesday via his official X account, the governor described the concert as an inclusive initiative aimed at uniting residents across political affiliations. He noted that the event would bring together established entertainers and upcoming artists to “bring the vibes home.”
A promotional poster released alongside the announcement listed several performers expected at the concert, including Peruzzi, CDQ, Shina Peters, May D, Sina Rambo, and others.
Governor Adeleke emphasized that the concert is non-partisan, describing it as a “Get Out to Vote” initiative intended to encourage civic participation. He called on residents across all political parties to attend, stressing that the event is focused on unity and shared identity.
He urged citizens to take part in the gathering, encouraging them to “come out, groove, and let your voice count.”
